K1 Program
K1 Team (11 - 12 years)
The next step into ski racing. Focusing on the FUN-damentals of ski training and racing, skill development and progressive introduction to competition. Athletes compete in the Coast Zone CIBC Wood Gundy K1 series, which culminates with the annual Provincial Championships. In April, WMSC hosts the Sierra Wireless Whistler Cup, an international event with 320 athletes from 20 countries. Because our club hosts this race, all of our K1 and K2 racres have the opportunity to race against the best from around the world.
