Masters Program
The Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC) offers a Masters Race Training Program. The Masters Program will provide high quality training in preparation for local, regional, national and international masters’ races. The program is primarily oriented towards dedicated experienced high endadult racers whose goals are personal excellence in ski racing, and who want to commit time and energy to a focused, disciplined training program.
For 2007/2008 we have added value by including with our Masters Team program the addition of the Whistler Blackcomb masters races held on Jan 27/Feb17. Also included is a GateBusters Pass for any Wed/Sat that that the Whistler Blackcomb Program is offered. In the name of good health any Masters racer that is signed up to our Team program has access to the new PacSport Gym as an athlete as well as access to the online Impact basline test for concussion testing.
This is a solid program similar in quality and intensity to WMSC’s highly successful junior programs, but tailored for the desires and time limitations of the typical adult racer. All participants will benefit from their association with the Whistler Mountain Ski Club, one Canada’s 
most successful racing clubs.

Program Summary:
• Pro Staff – Nigel Cooper/Alex Fell/Jeff Hume
• Quality coaching primarily in GS and SL; possible SG training (depending on hill space availability)
• Current top level CSCF assistant guest coaches dedicated to the entire training program
• Video analysis; technical free skiing and gate training drills.
• Approximately 20 training days for the Core program
• The camaraderie that results from working with the same coach and athletes all season long.

Qualifications:
Serious ski racing experience is a prerequisite for participation in the WMSC masters program. This focused; disciplined training program will be of the most benefit to the athlete whose objective is personal excellence in ski racing. If you are unsure please contact ncooper@wmsc.info.
Good skiers with limited prior racing experience are encouraged to join WMSC Masters program in the future once they have some race experience. The three day Dave Murray Camps are an excellent introduction to the basics of racing. GS and SL training is also available on a drop-in basis with the Whistler Blackcomb Gatebusters program. Additionally,there are several Masters and local (Kokanee series) races on the mountain throughout the season for which no prior racing experience is necessary, and skiers of all levels arewelcomed.
